The best place to begin is at the source. A good deal of America’s crude oil supplies flow through the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline over the north slope from Prudhoe Bay to Valdez (right). All along the pipeline, you’ll find Performance Elastomers’ seals (below - right) protecting the environment (and corporate investment) by keeping the crude flowing to the terminal – and not onto the tundra.

Our service to the petroleum industry continues to the tank farms storing crude oil and refinery distillates. Keeping the atmosphere out of the petroleum and petrochemicals, and VOCs out of the atmosphere is a major product and environmental issue. We offer a solution to the problem, helping our customers in topping the tanks with clear-span geodesic domes.

Performance Elastomers provides the panel seals that resist degradation from atmospheric reducing agents like NOx and Ozone, and a variety of organic chemicals.

Sometimes the issues aren’t so much a matter of meeting as of balancing specifications. Performance Elastomers extrudes the rubber that seals the bottom of overhead doors. These can find service in environments ranging from home garage doors to industrial shipping docks and flatbed drive-throughs.
